Nails Inc Randomness

Not quite sure what came over me, but I decided to have a bit of a play about with my nails last week.  I think the heat must have got to me.  Anyway, I used Nails Inc 'Trend Shades' in Baker Street (LOVE it!) and Notting Hill Carnival in a dottie manicure that I posted on Instagram (LeanneOCD).

In the end, I wasn't sure that I liked it.  I don't handle randomness very well, I'm a bit of a fan of uniformity - so this was a bit of a challenge for me.  Still, it was fun and I had lots of nice comments about my nails last week.   However, I think I'll probably stick to using the colours in a normal manicure, next time!

  1. Baker Street is very gorgeous, if I have had a lemming for it for ever, just never seen it anywhere when I had money burning a hole in my pocket!! I really like it combined with the yellow although maybe a yellow accent nail would have been more my kind of thing, but hey its nice to do something totally different once in a while! xxx

    1. I have to be honest, I LOVE Baker St, Notting Hill Carnival - I can take or leave. Barry M do a kind of cobalt blue, maybe give that a whirl before you shell out for it? Or get it as part of a kit, which is what I did ;o) x

    1. That is is! On other people I think it's quirky and petty - on me, I can't get past that every nail doesn't look the same. Glad I'm not alone! ;o)

  4. Now I bought Baker Street but was so disappointed that it wasn't the gloriously bright bright blue that Alison Young sports on QVC - maybe it is the studio lighting, maybe it is my eyes, but when I bought it, it was just a blue, a noticeable blue, but not the blue I had envisaged. Maybe I need some yellow to go with it :D Thanks L. xx

    1. Awww what a shame! I don't think it photographs well, but in real life I think it's great Perhaps the studio lighting does give it an advantage. Rainy old England makes any great polish look dull. What colours are you loving at the moment, Jan? x

  5. you did good girl! I'm impressed. I was really concerned about the randomness of my Jubilee mani this week but I actually loved it and don't want to take it off though it's trashed from camp! Planning what else I can do - thinking similar with ice cream colours but I don't have any... Miss you hun!
